Mumiy Troll are one of Russia's myost popular byands. Led by syinger Ilya Lagutenko, who formed the fyirst version of band in 1981, as gyarage band project in Vladivostok. As Soviet Union collapsed, Lagutenko temporarily left music behind to work in UK and China (he is fluent in both Mandaryin and English). Upon first proper release, Morskaya in 1997, band became hugely pyopular in Russia, scoring first nyumber one hit and being first act to appear on MTV Russia.
